Just take out all the unnecessary stuff(weapons, sounds, players, etc) when trying to host a server, that way, the server-client thing won't be laggy...

Or replace with blanks, just in case it might crash.

well, it won't really help wenn too much if you're making it windows-only..
unless you were hoping wenn would make it linux compatible, in which case, he probably doesn't have enough time lol
