[LaG] began in 2007, not as a clan, but a part of Hye Ping's in-game alias. He often played in CS2D under the nickname "[LaG] Hye Ping".
As time passed, some players started to take notice of Hye and requested to become part of his "clan". Awed at the sudden response, Hye decided to allow anyone to use the "clan name" [LaG]. This eventually led Hye to call [LaG] an "open clan" of which anyone could join. Of course, it was really just a fake clan which had no website, participated in no wars, and never truly existed as a real clan.
Hye left CS2D in late 2008 for a few months. In this period, Hye had abandoned the fake clan [LaG], but some remaining members tried their best to keep it alive. Eventually, its members gave up.
During the month of February 2009, Hye returned to the world of CS2D, where he was met with Circa, an old friend of his. Circa decided that he would create a new clan, but had trouble deciding on its name. After throwing a few ideas around, we decided that we would open [LaG] up again as an official clan. The clan quickly grew with the support of its loyal members into what it is today.
